To the good folks of Indianapolis, Indiana, I would like to apologize in advance. This is not a battle that you have begun, but one I will most certainly finish.
When you think of college football you think of the historic franchises: Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Dayton, Texas, USC, etc. What do all of these programs have in common? Well nothing that Dayton didn't already accomplish, which is scoring points in every single football game for 501 straight games. Shove that up your trunk, Saban.
Just one week ago this is what we were celebrating.

Not only did they get shut out. Gobsmacked. Blanked. Goose Egg'd. That's not embarrassing enough, they lost to a guy named Bret Bushka.
Given the fact that Butler broke Dayton's NCAA All-Division record streak, they have officially made a lifelong enemy out of me.
Cute mascot? Don't care for it. Beautiful campus? Garbage town if you ask me. There's no love lost in the bastion of college sports that is the Pioneer League.
For Dayton, the streak begins anew at Marist on Saturday. For Butler, the streak of 501 straight losses begins. Valparaiso ML, Valpo spread, and Butler TTU.
Accurate Takes Only,
Nick
